Abstract

Herein we overview the status and progress of graphene basic and applied research in main countries of the world, and summarize the recent advances of the state-of-the-art graphene-based materials, including various graphene, heteroatom-doped graphene and graphene-based assembles and hybrids, and highlight different kinds of graphene-based supercapacitors, e.g., electrical double layer capacitors, pseudocapacitors, flexible supercapacitors, hybrid supercapacitors and micro-supercapacitors. Later, we conclude with an outlook section to offer some insight on the future direction and prospect of graphene-based materials and industrialization of graphene-based supercapacitors.
